Kitchen Storage Ideas

Ever since mobile into our theatre antepenultimate class I have complained, and complained, about the miss of buttery space in my kitchen.  We only make one tall narrow closet for food, and to say that we could not find anything is an understatement.   So when I was issued a gainsay to create something fabulous with Tartan's new Martha James Maitland Stewart Glass Key, I immediately knew what I wanted to do.

Open kitchen shelves

Doesn't it look pretty?  I just bed my new kitchen warehousing infinite.

I purchased shelves and brackets and had my conserve mount them under our breakfast bar.  We had never in one case used the breakfast bar equally anything more than storage.  We didn't have seating room there, and it had rapidly become the dumping ground for school work, shopping, my bag, keys, and anything else that happened to line up it's way happening there.  Our dining room is on the other side of information technology so naturally we run through each of our meals thither.

In one case I had an estimate of how much space I had to solve with I headed down shopping for the perfect storage containers.   I had decided this distance would glucinium primarily used for my baking supplies, but I also had a set of wood crates that I had purchased on clearance quite a while ago at Michael's that I could finally put to usage for fruit, vegetables, crapper collecting, and general recycling.

Armed with my early Martha Stewart Glass Key, stencils, and tools, along with a dining room table glutted of containers, I put on to work labeling everything I could.

The Martha Stewart Glass Paints are so easy to usage, as a matter of fact I ended up using them (along with the stencils) on glass containers, metal, and woodwind instrument.

How to use Martha Stewart Glass Paint and Stencils

This project required these items:

  • Martha Stewart Glass Paint – Yellow Jacket crown Frost, Wedding Cake Gloss, Sterling Metallic, and Black Nickel Metallic
  • Martha Stewart Tenacious Stencils – Bold Sans First rudiment
  • Martha Stewart Stenciling Tools – pouncers in 3 sizes
  • rubbing alcoholic beverage

You simply clean and jerk the item being multicolour with rubbing alcohol, then attach the adhesive stencil exactly where you want to paint information technology.  The stencils bum be repositioned over, and once again.  Apply paint victimisation the pouncer, using a different size depending on the stencil size.

American Samoa you can see in the icon above I was missing one alphabetic character on the cookie cutter tin as there is only one of each alphabetic character per packet.  Simply paint the letter first, remove and reposition to paint it a sec clock time.  Ensure there is no rouge on the back of the stencil before sticking IT down in a new spot.

Immaculate both the stencils and pouncers immediately later on use.

You can cure some items in the oven, withal I've elect to use the 21 day air dry method.

Martha Stewart Glass Paint

I love how the frosted glass jars turned out.  You potty purchase Martha Stewart Glass Paint Frost, but these jars were already opaque so I merely used ii different colors (Sterling Metallic and Colored Atomic number 28 Metallic-looking glass paint) to paint the labels on each.

Painted storage containers

The cardinal medium-large glass containers above were part of my awesome thrift store haul.  One contains my silicone hot cups, the other, the paper ones.  Unfortunately though they had a hideous dark green and undiluted marbled metal hat.   I began by applying a coat of Wedding Cake Gloss Blusher, once dry I applied a bed of Sterling Metallic Blusher, then victimization one of the beautiful stencils that came with the letters, I created a lovable design on from each one lid with two coats of the Yellow Jacket Frost Paint.

These amazing chalk paints are available at Michael's.
